Summer is approaching more and more concerns about the need to improve opportunities for water tourism. Klaipėda has old Yacht club in Smiltyne, but it need to renewed.

Some restoration work has already started last year, it is expected that they will successfully continued this year and water tourism become more popular. In the future the plans are to renew buildings which are in the territory of Yacht club, after reconstructions there will be café, hotel, and office area. These objects will be placed in 3,5 ha area. The renewed Yacht club will increase tourism of bicycles and attendance of Maritime Museum.

Also great changes are promises to Castle Port, near quays of this port will be exhibited of historic ships and other marine objects.
